The ship folds up to resemble a complete cruise ship and can easily be 'floated' along on carpet, taking Barbie and friends to shores unknown. The ship itself is rather large. In the closed position, it measures 13 inches high by 23 inches long and 8 inches across. The ship also opens up to a length of about 32 inches long. The whole package also opens up to reveal a party deck, bunk beds, a pool, great boat drinks and food, and a creative photo backdrop. It has photo backdrop scenes with three different 2-sided cards depicting fun and enticing scenes from a cruise holiday can be slipped into a background slot on the ship. The ship itself is easily stored and well built. Take note: this toy does not actually float in water it has small wheels on the bottom to glide around.
